Display a classy work of art with excellent overhead lighting. Place a cozy area rug down. If the shelf and storage in your mudroom are part of your doorway, make them creative. The doorway determines the overall tone of your house.

5. Overdoing Curtains
Curtains are essential to spaces. However, they are also quite useful. Because of this, choosing window coverings may go wrong in various ways. To create the illusion of height and space, drapes must be hung at the proper level in the room. Some people trim the curtain length at the half-window skill level, which makes the window appear even smaller and run-down. On the other hand, excessively long drapes droop and drag terribly down the floor.
